Downtown Dubai
The new short-term rentals hotspot is a win-win situation for landlords, corporate travellers and tourists.
The real appeal of the Downtown Dubai area from a short-term rental point of view is the area’s central location. Just a stone’s throw away from DIFC and Business Bay, the locale is fast becoming a favourite with business travellers as the area is set to become the new central business district in Dubai .
From a tourism perspective several hotels now do business along the traditionally themed Souk Al Bahar, while the pending Dubai Mall will offer an array of restaurants, retail and leisure amenities right on their doorstep.
With the popularity of the area ever-increasing, landlords are quickly catching on to the lucrative investment opportunities available through short-term let units. The flexibility that this type of renting offers combined with the opportunity to maximize on potential income with near 100% rental occupancies currently being achieved by Better Homes’ Short-term Rentals division makes for a pretty good deal all around.

I am writing on behalf of a family member who owns an apartment unit in one of the Burj Downtown Dubai residential towers. He read the Emaar Community Rules saying that short term let not allowed - only 6 months and above. What is your take on this. Is there a law allowing this short term let business in Dubai.
Thanks
